Emmy Parties through Memorial day

After starting the holiday weekend off with Jackson's party, Emmy decided to just keep going. The next day she took in an Astro's game, on the front row of course (Emmy goes hard or goes home) with Abs and Lannie and Boppa.

And then did some party cruisin on Lannie and Boppa's boat. Sippy cups for everyone.

This is how she looked when we got her back...

She pulled through for a pool party with Gigi and Pops the next day. This year she is pretty much scared of NOTHING. She did the water slide by herself about 425 times and wanted to "let me do it myself" in her floaty. She tired in jump in and do the gigantic water slide. Mom had to take her to meet the lifeguard so that she would understand WHY she had to get out of the pool when they blow the whistle. She wasn't buying the Gigi explanation.

After a waterfight with Pops,

She climbed in a lawnchair, snapped her fingers for a juicebox and sighed "I need my bit bit."
The Memorial Day Princess was officially pooped!

Jackson is 2!

Somehow the past year has completely zipped by. I keep going"but we JUST (insert activity) it can't be time again..." and then it is. Jackson's birthday is one of those things. Last year he had a pool party and this year we kept with the water theme for a race car splash pad party. The birthday boy is the king of face-making. Here's his "muscle-face."

It was all a little too much for Sam. She got a full belly and took a little snooze. The most interesting thing that happened is that Abby taught Emmy how to "properly" pee in a swimsuit (according to Abby.) Lovely. I almost got a picture of it, but figured that might be a little too graphic. Forget the casual, low key approach, we now have a stance that leaves little to the imagination! Should make for an interesting summer at the pool!Evidence of a REALLY fun party- mouth WIDE open. Happy Birthday Jackson!

Beach Bum Weekend

We headed down to the beach this weekend for "Beach Bum Weekend 2011" with friends. The weather was GORGEOUS and we had a great time relaxing and eating WAY too much. Chips... bags and bags of chips.

The sassy factor was VERY high. The girls decided they were beach babes and put thier swimsuits on to head to the beach. There will be NO pictures of the pregnant mommies on this post. BLAH!They couldn't get enough of the water and the sand. Caroline decided to weat this tiara the entire day at the beach. It didn't come off her head.
Poor Seth pretty much got hypothermia last year and unfortunately he's 2 for 2 on hypothermic beach visits. The water was freezing.

Kim's husband Scott is a doctor, so we told Emmy that Dr. Watson was coming. Since our dogs names are Watson and Bogey she said" Yes and Dr. Bogey is coming too."

Too many chips, too little sunscreen, and staying up too late equals a really LONG monday but I think it was worth it!

Party Weekend (Mother's Day Edition)

We partied it up this weekend and we started at Andie Lynn's first birthday party! They had a bounce house and Emmy and Emmy bounced and slid and bounced for about three hours straight. The only breaks Emmy took were to make Collin push them around on the four wheeler

and to harass Lauren's poor great dane Jandy. She would get up in her face and ask him if he wanted to bounce. You can guess that she, of course, did not want to. She politely tried to just walk away, but Emmy followed her whereever she went. Another person that just didn't want to bounce was Kate. She just wasn't feeling it. Here's the big birthday girl with her Mommy and Daddy.
We had a great time relaxing at Laruen's house and getting the chance to chat while we made the boys watch the girls. AH... so nice. =) (But see they were still happy!)

After the party we headed out to party some more. We met my Fam for a celebration of Loo's brithday (she's getting OLD like me!) and Mother's day. Sadly, these are the only pictures at any of the mother's day celebrations.
Thank goodness Loo took some! We finished off Mother's Day with a lunch celebration out (maybe the last one ever) with all four kids with the Vacek's. Thank goodness for Lupe's playground. I am very lucky to have so many Mom's to celebrate =) It's extra special this year since we're about to be adding our new little boy!

Speechless...

Is the video quality poor? Yes. I shot it with a blackberry. But, this evening as I was searching for a replacement size shirt my 2-1/2 year old daughter at Macy's, I caught the beginning of the end on film. I guess "mall time" with GiGi and Mommy is going to have to be strictly limited going forward.

I think the best thing is watching her check the tags to see if its a) her size or b) in her price range (which without Daddy is $0)... As the random lady that caught the tail end of this live in the store said to me, "Aren't you in trouble." Yes I am...Oh yes, I am...

Maybe next week I can catch a video of her swiping a credit card for payment which she mysteriously knows how to do and why to do it. I'm not laying blame, but I have my hunches...

Too Hollywood

Emmy has been complaining that she needs sunglasses in the car for a couple weeks now. This morning as we were leaving the house she put them on (upside down of course) and told her father that she was "too Hollywood." Then she told me that "Bogey told me that." I guess the dogs thought she was giving them a little too much diva this morning.

House Bunny: Easter Part 2

Emmy has been VERY excited about the Easter Bunny, so she loved her Easter Basket he brought her!
Well let me rephrase that. She was VERY excited about the jelly beans, and that's about it. I don't want to think about how much candy she ate in the past two days.

After our late night return for the Beach we vowed to get up and get to the 8:30 service at church and we TOTALLY did it! Awesome that the service started at 8. grrr. We sat through the sermon and one hymn and it was over. I personally need to sing "Christ the Lord has Risen Today" at chruch to make it "ofically" Easter, so we decided to wait for the next service at 9:30. Megan, Keith, and the kids came to that service as well, so we had time to grab a few pics before it started.

After church we headed over to Megan's for more eating and the big Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny himself comes to hide the eggs at the vacek Egg Hunt. Susan made a big deal about how the Easter Bunny was almost there and the kids went upstairs to wait. When Susan told them that the Easter Bunny had come Emmy ran down the stairs and then just looked really confused. Abby made a tear at the eggs, but Emmy just stood there. Finally we realized she could care less about the eggs, she wanted the Bunny. "where da bunny go?"She finally got into it and the kids busted a few confetti eggs

and found all the eggs, AND all the candy inside.

It was a long fun Easter and we're glad we got to spend so much of it with fam!

Beach Bunny: Easter Part 1

We had one long Easter party! This year we started at Gigi's Beach. Mom's entire family came down for the day to celebrate about half of the family's birthday and have an easter party. We hung out at the beach and ate.. we're good at that.
Emmy's new thing is jumping off things. We have to count to three and she jumps. And then we repeat 57 times.

She also has her first "zuchinni" as we call it. toooooo hollywood.
We had a ton of leftover shrimp and french fries left over from lunch so we decided to take them to the birds. Usually there's one or two. The entire flock showed up! They were almost swooping low enough to take fries out of Emmy's hand. She was having so much fun her mouth was WIDE open the entire time. Life lesson #1: When feeding seagulls, keep your MOUTH SHUT! Thank goodness we didn't have to go for the mouthwash.

We squeezed a lot of Easter fun into a teensy amount of time. There were Easter baskets.. lots of them. LOT of candy (chocolate mouth in most pictures.)
An Easter Egg hunt.
And we even managed to squeeze in some Easter Egg Dying. Emmy was about to fall asleep in the eggs, but she managed to dye them, decorate them, and even randomly smash one with her head before she dozed off .

It was great to see the fam and relax a little. We headed back home for church, the big visit from the Bunny, and Vacek family Easter.
