To up our cool factor a little bit we went to see Chris Cornell last night at Warehouse Live. Warehouse is a really cool small venue so it's like being in a private concert. In true rockstar fashion Chris (we're tight) didn't even bother to show his face until 10:30. Blake and I knew things have changed for good when at 10 minutes to 12, when he was only about halfway through his set list, had just started his acoustic part, and had about an hour and a half left to go (inlcuding all the old Audioslave and Soundgarden songs) we left and went to pick up the kiddo. Ahhhhhh, times have changed...........At least we got to hear Out of Exile and Spoonman.Yes, we did Spoonman and Les Mis back to back. It was a weird weekend =)

There was LOTS of excellent people watching at this concert. Everything from 10 year old girls to grandpas, and it got me thinking about when Emmy is going to want to go to concerts. Growing up in Port Neches, there wasn't really that many to go to, except when Coolio came in high school! Because we've been spending most our lives living in a Gangsta's paradise!!! Emmy has already started practing her Boy Band squeal. She's very proud of herself, and will sometimes spend all day just hanging out and squealing. I'm sure when she's 13 and IN LUV with the next Justin Timberlake or Jonas Brother she'll sound a lot like this =)
